About

The Alaskan Malamute dog breed is one of the oldest Arctic sled dogs, originally bred by the Mahlemut tribe of Alaska for hauling heavy loads across long distances. Known for its wolf-like appearance, thick double coat, and incredible strength, the Malamute is a powerful and loyal companion. In India, it is admired for its appearance but requires special care due to climate challenges. Alaskan Malamutes are friendly, loyal, and strong-willed dogs. They are affectionate with their families but can be independent and stubborn. Unlike typical guard dogs, they are friendly with strangers, making them poor guard dogs. Early training and consistent leadership are important.

The Alaskan Malamute price in India typically ranges between ₹80,000 to ₹2,00,000 depending on breeder quality and lineage. Monthly maintenance costs range from ₹10,000 to ₹18,000 due to food, grooming, and care.
