About

The Peterbald is a distinctive cat breed that originated in Russia during the 1990s through a cross between the Donskoy and Oriental Shorthair. Renowned for its sleek appearance, long limbs, and affectionate temperament, the Peterbald has quickly become one of the most unique and recognizable cat breeds in the world.

While many Peterbalds are completely hairless, the breed can also exhibit several coat types, ranging from ultra-fine fuzz to short brush-like coats. Their elegant body, large ears, almond-shaped eyes, and refined facial features give them a sophisticated and striking appearance.

Peterbalds are highly intelligent, curious, and social cats that enjoy being involved in every aspect of family life. They often follow their owners around the house, seek out attention, and form deep emotional bonds with their favorite people. Their friendly nature makes them excellent companions for families, children, and other pets.

Unlike many independent cat breeds, Peterbalds thrive on interaction and generally dislike being left alone for long periods. They enjoy interactive toys, climbing structures, puzzle games, and plenty of affection from their humans.

Due to their lack of fur, hairless Peterbalds require special care to protect their skin from sunburn, cold temperatures, and excess oil buildup. Regular skin cleaning and a warm indoor environment help keep them healthy and comfortable.

The Peterbald cat price in India typically ranges from ₹60,000 to ₹1,50,000 depending on breeder reputation, bloodline, coat type, and availability.
